Our Story

Women Who Refused to Look Away

Destiny Global Care Foundation was built by women who saw suffering in their communities and chose to act. What started as conviction became a movement.

A Foundation Born from Conviction

Destiny Global Care Foundation was not born in a boardroom. It was born in the recognition that vulnerable people in our communities were being left behind, and that someone had to do something about it.

Our founders, a group of women united by faith and a shared sense of calling, came together around a simple truth: meeting people's physical, emotional, and practical needs is not separate from serving God. It is an expression of it.

We saw children who could not stay in school because their families could not afford supplies. We saw elderly residents who had no one to check on them and no access to the food or medicine they needed. We saw young boys who needed hospital care and had no one to advocate for them. We refused to accept that as the end of their stories.

The foundation was formed to bridge the gap between crisis and capability: to meet communities in their hardest moments and walk alongside them toward something better. Not through pity, but through respect. Not through dependency, but through genuine partnership.

Today, from Lilongwe to Blantyre to Chiradzulu, we carry that founding conviction into every community we enter and every life we are privileged to touch.

Faith and community

Rooted in Faith. Expressed in Action.

Destiny Global Care Foundation is a faith-rooted organization. We believe that every human being is made in the image of God and therefore worthy of dignity, care, and opportunity.

This belief is not background decoration. It is the engine of everything we do. It is what gets our teams into difficult communities. It is what keeps us going when the need feels overwhelming.

We are called to preach the Gospel to the brokenhearted while meeting the physical, emotional, and practical needs of the vulnerable in our communities. We take that calling seriously.

Psalms 21:3

What We Are Building Toward

Mission

To empower communities and transform lives through compassionate care, sustainable development, and access to essential resources.

Vision

To build a world where every individual has the opportunity to live with dignity, access basic needs, and achieve their full potential.

Women leaders serving their community

Led by Women. Serving Everyone.

Destiny Global Care Foundation is proudly women-led. Our leadership team, our field workers, and our founding members are women who have chosen to invest their time, energy, and faith into the communities around them.

We believe that women are uniquely positioned to understand the needs of vulnerable households, to build trust with families, and to model the kind of tenacious, compassionate service that lasting change requires.

This is not a limitation. It is our strength. Our teams go into communities not for applause, but for the people.

The Values Behind the Work

Compassion

We lead with empathy. Every person we serve is treated with genuine care, not as a problem to be managed but as a human being worthy of dignity and kindness.

Integrity

We do what we say. We are honest with our partners, transparent with our donors, and accountable to the communities who place their trust in us.

Accountability

We measure our impact and report it honestly. We hold ourselves to the standard of genuine results, not good intentions.

Community Empowerment

We do not work for communities. We work with them. Local knowledge, local leadership, and local ownership are central to everything we do.

Sustainability

We build for the long term. Our programs are designed to outlast our involvement, creating change that communities can sustain and grow for generations.

"May we never grow tired of doing good."

Compassion Without Strategy Is Just Sentiment

We take a holistic view of development. Poverty is not a single problem with a single solution. It is a web of interconnected challenges that require integrated responses.

01

Meet People Where They Are

We enter communities not with a predetermined agenda but with open ears. We listen before we act. We learn before we lead. Sometimes that means sitting on the floor of a family's home.

02

Build, Don't Depend

Every program is designed with an exit strategy. We invest in local capacity so that communities can carry the work forward without us.

03

Measure What Matters

Impact is not measured in supplies distributed alone. We track human outcomes: children who stay in school, patients who receive treatment, families who achieve food stability.

Our work in the community

Our Work

Five Pillars. One Unified Goal.

The challenges facing vulnerable communities are not isolated. Our work is designed around this reality.

The challenges facing vulnerable communities are not isolated. A child who lacks education will struggle to access healthcare. A family trapped in poverty cannot invest in the future. A youth without skills has no avenue for economic participation.

We have seen this play out in real communities. When we referred a young boy to hospital, we did not just treat his illness. We restored hope to a family that felt invisible. When we distribute food to elderly residents, we are not just filling plates. We are telling people that they have not been forgotten.

Education Support

The Foundation of Every Other Freedom

Education is the most powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty. But for many families across Malawi, it is not a given. School fees, the cost of uniforms and supplies, and pressure on children to contribute to household income mean that classrooms are not accessible to everyone who deserves to be in them.

What We Do

Scholarship Programs Covering school fees and associated costs for children from low-income households.

School Supplies Distribution Providing exercise books, pens, uniforms, and learning materials.

Mentorship Programs Connecting students with adult mentors who invest in their academic development.

Literacy and Numeracy Support Remedial education for children who have fallen behind.

Who Benefits: Orphans and vulnerable children; children from low-income households; girls at risk of early dropout.
Healthcare outreach

What We Do

Medical Outreach Camps Bringing healthcare professionals into communities for free consultations and screenings.

Health Awareness Campaigns Community education on hygiene, nutrition, maternal health, and HIV/AIDS prevention.

Referral Support Helping individuals navigate the formal health system, including transport assistance.

Maternal Health Support Targeting expectant and new mothers to reduce maternal and infant mortality.

Who Benefits: Children, elderly community members, pregnant women, and families without access to formal health facilities.
Focus Area 02

Healthcare Assistance

Because Dignity Starts with a Healthy Body

Health is not a luxury. It is the precondition for everything else. We have sat with families whose children were seriously ill, with no means to get them to a hospital. We did not walk away. We took action, arranging referrals, accompanying patients, and following up to ensure care was received.

Food distribution
Focus Area 03

Poverty Alleviation

Meeting Crisis Now, Building Resilience for Tomorrow

When we distribute flour, cooking oil, soap, and sugar to elderly and disabled residents in Chiradzulu who cannot provide for themselves, we are not performing charity. We are restoring dignity to people who have been overlooked by every system that should have reached them first.

What We Do

Food Distribution Programs Regular food parcels for families experiencing food insecurity.

Livelihood Support Seed capital, tools, and training for income-generating activities.

Financial Literacy Training Equipping individuals and families with skills to manage money, save, and plan.

Savings Group Formation Supporting community-based savings groups that build collective financial resilience.

Who Benefits: Low-income families; food-insecure households; elderly and disabled residents; widows and single parents.
Youth empowerment

What We Do

Vocational Skills Training Practical, market-relevant trades including tailoring, carpentry, catering, and computing.

Entrepreneurship Development Business training, mentorship, and seed support for young people ready to start enterprises.

Life Skills Programs Leadership, communication, financial management, and emotional resilience.

Youth Clubs and Networks Spaces where young people connect, collaborate, and encourage one another.

Who Benefits: Youth aged 15 to 30, with focus on out-of-school youth, young women, and those from high-poverty households.
Focus Area 04

Youth Empowerment

Unlocking the Generation That Changes Everything

Young people are not a problem to be managed. They are Malawi's greatest resource. When young people are empowered with skills, knowledge, and opportunity, the ripple effects reach families, communities, and economies.

Community Development

Infrastructure for Human Flourishing

Clean water. Basic sanitation. Reliable shelter. These are not luxuries. They are the infrastructure on which every other aspect of human dignity rests. We approach community development with a commitment to working with communities to identify priorities and take ownership of outcomes.

What We Do

Clean Water Access Borehole drilling, well rehabilitation, and rainwater harvesting.

Sanitation Programs Construction and promotion of latrines, handwashing stations, and waste management systems.

Infrastructure Support Community-identified projects including school building repairs and community halls.

Environmental Sustainability Tree planting, soil conservation, and climate resilience awareness.

Who Benefits: Entire communities, with particular benefit to children, women, and elderly residents most affected by poor infrastructure.

Every focus area needs committed partners.

Programs and services

Programs and Services

Every Program Built Around Measurable Outcomes

Not charity for charity's sake. Real field programs grounded in community ownership and transparent impact.

01

Community Outreach Programs

Our outreach programs are the front door of everything we do. Before we build projects, we build relationships. Our teams are embedded in the neighborhoods we serve, attending community meetings, building trust with leaders, and ensuring that our work reflects genuine need.

From the Field

In Chiradzulu, our team visited a young boy who was ill, arranged a hospital referral, and followed up to ensure he received proper medical care. No committee meeting. No six-month needs assessment. We saw a need and we acted.

What It Looks Like

Regular community visits and needs assessments
Engagement with village heads, school leaders, health workers, and women's groups
Community dialogue sessions to co-design program priorities
Direct intervention including referrals, accompaniment, and follow-up
Why It Matters: Programs that skip the relationship-building phase often fail. Our outreach model ensures that every intervention is grounded, welcomed, and locally owned from the start.
02

Donations and Relief Support

When people simply cannot provide for themselves, communities need immediate, practical support. Our relief program ensures we can respond with food, clothing, medical supplies, and other essentials.

From the Field

In a recent outreach in Chiradzulu, we distributed flour, cooking oil, soap, and sugar to elderly and disabled residents. A six-year-old child whose grandmother could not care for him also received support from our team.

What It Looks Like

Emergency and regular food parcels for households facing food insecurity
Clothing and household essentials for those in need
School supplies for children at risk of dropping out
Medical assistance including transport and clinic fees for urgent cases
Why It Matters: Immediate relief preserves lives and dignity. It also opens the door to longer-term development relationships built on trust.
03

Volunteer Initiatives

Change is made by people. Our volunteer program mobilizes individuals who want to contribute their time, skills, and energy to meaningful community service.

What It Looks Like

Community service days in target neighborhoods
Professional volunteer placements: medical, educational, technical, legal
International volunteer opportunities for those wishing to serve in Malawi
Youth volunteer programs that develop leadership through service
Why It Matters: Volunteers bring skills, perspectives, and energy that extend our capacity far beyond what staff alone can achieve.
04

Leadership Gatherings and Team Development

Our team is our foundation. We invest in regular gatherings where our leaders share vision, encourage one another through Scripture and prayer, align on mission priorities, and prepare to serve with clarity and unity.

From the Field

In March 2026, we held a gathering where our full team shared mission and vision statements and encouraged one another with the Word of God in preparation to fulfill our calling.

What It Looks Like

Quarterly leadership gatherings for vision alignment and team encouragement
Prayer and Scripture-grounded preparation for field work
Shared accountability and mutual support among leaders
Celebration of impact and recognition of team contributions
Why It Matters: A team that is spiritually grounded and relationally strong serves more effectively and endures more durably.
05

Strategic Partnerships

No organization solves systemic problems alone. We actively pursue partnerships with local organizations, government departments, faith-based bodies, media outlets, and private sector actors who share our commitment to community wellbeing.

What It Looks Like

Formal agreements for co-designed and co-funded programs
Joint outreach activities with local churches and community groups
Media partnerships that amplify stories and build public awareness
Private sector CSR partnerships that channel corporate resources toward community needs
Why It Matters: Partnerships multiply impact. They bring complementary expertise, additional resources, and shared accountability.

Why Showing Up Matters More Than Any Program Design

In the development sector, there is a tendency to over-engineer solutions. We have learned something from years of community work in Malawi: the most powerful thing you can do for a vulnerable person is show up. Consistently. Without fanfare. With genuine care.
